Carmen Hunter has lived in South Wimbledon, London, for the last 23 years.

Originating from the island of Mallorca in Spain, Carmen is a passionate Spanish teacher, finding teaching her mother tongue the most rewarding of jobs.                                     ---                   

Before she moved to England, Carmen loved working for 'Iberia', the Spanish airline, allowing her to visit the world! It was on a trip to New Zealand that she met her English husband who persuaded her to move to England. Carmen loves living in London (nothing like strolling through the National Gallery!), but misses enormously the Majorcan sun, the fuel that enables her to cope with 'too many grey British days'.

The chance to visit the island more often came when she had the opportunity to make better use of Villa Sumer, her house in Mallorca. When some of her Saturday lessons and Monday A2 lessons were cancelled, she organised a teaching trip with some of her students. That was so successful that she organises similar trips whenever there is sufficient interest from students to learn Spanish in Spain in a relaxed atmosphere.

VILLA SUMER

 Villa Sumer is a beautiful house with sea views overlooking the Bay of Palma. It features a stunning new designer kitchen fully equipped with white coran worktop, table for 8, TV and sofa, with patio overlooking a private pool area. The large lounge leads onto the veranda. Upstairs there are 4 nice bedrooms, 1 with ensuite bathroom, 2 with sea views, all with air conditioning. Separate bathroom. Downstairs by the pool there is an additional bathroom next to a big toy room equipped with a single bed and double bed. There is a garden around the house and swimming pool (9x4.5m) with a swing seat, garden furniture and table tennis table. You only need to stop playing to see the best sunset in Mallorca! The cliff overlooking the blue bay is only 350 metres away. Walk or drive down to the sea to enjoy a swim in clear, turquoise water. There are tennis and paddle courts at the end of the road. The house is in a quiet residential area, about half a mile from small shops and restaurants. If you do a Google search using the following address you will get a good feel for the area.
